About the menu

Da Gigi in Trieste is a gem for lovers of authentic Italian seafood. Nestled on Via di Servola, this historic osteria offers a warm, family-like atmosphere that immediately welcomes you. The menu showcases the freshest catch, skillfully prepared to highlight the natural flavors of the sea. Expect generous portions, classic recipes, and sincere homestyle cooking that evoke the comfort of a nonna’s kitchen.

The dishes emphasize simplicity and quality, with each plate reflecting decades of tradition and passion. From rich seafood pastas to expertly grilled fish, the flavor balance is meticulous, enhanced by locally sourced ingredients. The vintage ambiance, preserved for nearly half a century, adds to the charm, making your dining experience feel timeless.

Da Gigi’s attentive yet unobtrusive service complements the food perfectly, creating a genuine, memorable meal. It might not be the cheapest spot in town, but for authentic, quality Italian seafood, it’s worth every euro.

from a recent review —
